Night Wetland in Quintana Roo

▶ 40 minNature SoundsDriftingRecorded by Felix BlumePremium

Forty minutes of a wetland at night near Felipe Carrillo Puerto, in Quintana Roo, Mexico: frogs, insects and the hush of still water. No voice and no music. Recorded by Felix Blume on 30 October 2015 and shared on Freesound under CC0, first prepared for greensound.app, then looped by Lullable into one seamless track with a slow fade at each end.

Why this one works at night

A wetland that wakes up as you lie down. Frogs and insects call across the water, near and far, and none of it is for you to answer. The pace is layered and steady, and the whole of it is humid, alive, unhurried. Good for wanting to feel far away. There are no words to follow and no music to wait for, and it fades out on its own at the end.

Night Wetland in Quintana Roo is 40 minutes long, with no voice and no music, and fades out on its own. It is in the Lullable iPhone app, with a Premium subscription.
