Rain sounds for sleep
Rain on the Jungle near Uxmal
Forty minutes of rain falling on the forest near the Maya city of Uxmal, in Yucatán, Mexico. There is no voice and no music, only water on broad leaves and wet ground, close enough to cover the small sounds of a house at night. Shared on Freesound by rucisko under CC0, first prepared for greensound.app, then looped by Lullable into one seamless track with a slow fade at each end.
Why this one works at night
Rain that has settled in for the night. It falls on leaves and soil at one even pace, and nothing in it changes enough to call you back. The pace is steady and even, and the whole of it is warm rain, dense leaves. Good for drowning out the room. There are no words to follow and no music to wait for, and it fades out on its own at the end.
