River sounds for sleep
A Small River in the Brazilian Hills
Forty minutes of a small river in Serrinha do Alambari, in the hills of Rio de Janeiro state, Brazil. No voice and no music, only water moving over rocks, close and steady. Recorded by Felix Blume and shared on Freesound under CC0, first prepared for greensound.app, then looped by Lullable into one seamless track with a slow fade at each end.
Why this one works at night
A shallow river that has been running over the same stones for a very long time. It does not rise or fall; it simply keeps going. The pace is flowing and constant, and the whole of it is cool water, green hills. Good for busy, racing thoughts. There are no words to follow and no music to wait for, and it fades out on its own at the end.
