Stories

Sleep sounds, with nothing in them to follow.

Some nights a story is too much. A voice, however slow, is still a voice, and what you want is something to cover the room.

These are forty-minute tracks with no voice and no music in them: rain on a jungle in Yucatán, waves on a beach in the Philippines and another on the Caribbean, a small campfire, a river in the Brazilian hills, and crickets and frogs at night. Each one loops without a seam and fades in and out slowly, so nothing starts or stops abruptly.

The three noises differ in where their energy sits. White noise is the brightest and the best at covering sudden sounds. Pink noise is deeper and gentler, close to steady rain. Brown noise is a low rumble, closer to a distant waterfall or the inside of a plane.

They are in the Lullable iPhone app with a Premium subscription, alongside the stories, and they use the same sleep timer.
